How forgery damage takes hold
In the case in question, the suspects stole ten motorcycles in Daejeon, Gwangju and Busan between March and early April and sold them through online second-hand marketplaces. To make the sales look legitimate, they forged documents issued in the name of a district office head. Brokers who produce such documents openly publish e-mail addresses and mobile numbers on public websites, but the identities they use are false, which makes them difficult to track down. Through them an offender can be presented as an ordinary citizen and stolen property as normal merchandise.
